McKinsey published a fascinating interview with Taco Dibbits, the Director of the national museum of Dutch art and history, Rijksmuseum. Dibbits offers insight into what it means to be an agile leader after inadvertently embracing agile organizational principles. Dibbits realized that making changes to the museum’s traditional organizational structure via “forming, dissolving, and reforming teams” inspired innovation and creativity among employees and allowed them to tackle various challenges.
